Nanny-Family Assistant Needed ~ Portsmouth, RI

Professional parents in Portsmouth are seeking a nanny/family assistant to join their family and help with their two girls ages 9 and 8. The start date is ASAP and the schedule needed is Monday-Friday from 12pm-6pm. During school vacations, the hours would be Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. General responsibilities will include care of the girls, bringing them to activities/outings, household help (keeping inventory of groceries/household items and knowing when things are running low and need to be ordered, picking up prescriptions when needed, etc.). The family is looking for someone who is great at multitasking and has professional experience with older school aged children. The girls are very artistic and love acting and drawing. Both girls have food allergies and the oldest has moderate ADHD so someone comfortable (or experienced) with both is a must! The family had a nanny for 9 years who became part of their family so they hope to find someone new to join their family and help raise their girls! Pay is $30-$35/hr, on the books.

 

Infant Nanny Needed ~ Providence, RI

First time parents are seeking a professional and nurturing newborn nanny for their son who will be almost 3 months old at the start of the position. They are looking for someone to start the second week of October and the schedule needed will be Monday-Friday from 7am-5pm. The baby was a preemie so they are only looking for a nanny who is highly experienced with newborns/infants and having experience with preemies would be an added bonus. Responsibilities will include full infant care including feedings, changing, naps, age appropriate activities (tummy time, reading, etc.) and light cleaning pertaining to the baby only. Family Assistant Needed ~ Cranston, RI

A very busy family in Cranston is seeking a family assistant to join their team and help keep their home running smoothly. They’d like someone to start around October 5th and the schedule needed is Monday-Friday from 12pm-6pm (non-negotiable). They have three boys who are 10, 8 and 6 but they have a part time after school nanny so no childcare is needed. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: running errands, grocery shopping and putting away groceries, food prep (washing fruits & veggies), organizational projects (pantry, closets, playroom, etc.), organizing the kids rooms/toys/clothes, scheduling appointments as needed (dentist, drs, home vendors), researching camps/sports when needed, seasonal projects (holiday decorations, ordering Christmas cards), etc. No heavy cleaning is expected as they have weekly cleaners. The family assistant will have access to a car to use during working hours. There are two medium sized dogs in the home so candidates should be comfortable around dogs. Their ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in a similar role, be extremely reliable, organized, detail oriented, and proactive. Someone who has prior professional experience as a family assistant or household manager with private families is an absolute must for them. This is a long term position and they hope to find someone to stay on for many years. Pay is $38-$40/hr on the books plus a health insurance stipend and standard benefits (paid vacation, holidays and sick pay).

They are looking for someone to start ASAP! From now until end of July, the schedule is part time Monday-Friday from 3pm-8pm and then come last week of July it’ll shift to full time Monday-Friday from 11am-7pm or 12pm-8pm. The full-time schedule can potentially be flexible for an amazing fit. The girls are currently in summer programs and come September, both girls will be in full-time school in Providence. The girls are fun, active and artistic and love to do arts and crafts, puzzles, play dress up, play games and be outside running around (they live on 15 acres of farm land!), so a nanny who can keep them engaged with structure, projects and fun activities is a must! Besides childcare, other responsibilities will include kid based cleanup, laundry and light organizing. They have two friendly dogs so nanny should be comfortable with dogs.
